Dear Trust Reps and College Tutors
We are writing to you in the hope you would like to take part in our Case
Exchange Evenings. This will be the fifth year of the programme.
Over the past 4 years the NCEL trainee committee have been organising monthly
teaching for the NCEL Network.
The aim of the evenings are to allow for Regional ST1-3 teaching.
Ideally these evenings our hosted by a different Trust each month in order to
allow for trainees and their consultants to be involved from across all NCEL sites.
Previously we have allocated a month to each trust. This year we would like to
start by asking if there are any Trusts who would be keen to be involved.
Depending on the interest shown we may proceed as last year by going on to
The sessions should be approximately 2 hours and will can be held in Senate
House (central London) or at the Trust’s local site if a particular Trust is keen to
host and have the facility to do so.
Please choose any topic that you and your hospital are interested in but please
check which topics were done recently.
Choose any evening that is convenient for you and the speakers and the format
can be either lecture based or as a forum for a case-exchange or a combination.
The NCEL trainee reps will book a room for you (please contact us regarding
your chosen date with a months notice so we can ensure a room is booked).
We will also provide feedback forms and attendance sheets.
We will advertise the event throughout NCEL (by email and on the calendar) and
would appreciate if you could email us a flyer for your event (template can be
provided on request) for us to distribute at least 3 weeks prior to the event. The
earlier we can promote the evening the better the attendance will invariably be.
