We understand that simulation can be stressful and may not accurately reflect your performance in a real clinical setting. The full immersion scenarios are followed by a detailed debrief where you have the opportunity to explain how you may have approached the situation differently and reflect on ways to apply this learning to your clinical practice. The entire group and faculty are asked to respect confidentiality and not to discuss performance aspects outside of the course. However, if there are any concerns that you are not performing at a level expected for your stage of training, especially if there are implications for patient safety in your workplace, then the faculty may need to discuss this with your educational supervisor or escalate appropriately to put patient safety first.
