Are you looking for a course to help you prepare for the MRCPCH exam? Then look no further…
The Imperial MRCPCH course is an intensive three-day revision course, tailored to meet your needs to help you pass the MRCPCH exam…
The course has been running since 1997 and has been designed to cover all components of the MCPCH Clinical Examination. The course consists of three days of intensive small-group clinical teaching, held over two consecutive weekends. Day 1 (Saturday) is dedicated to cardiology teaching and communication skills, and is held at Crawley Hospital. This intensive cardiology session provides trainees with the opportunity to refine their cardiology examination technique and to meet with children with various cardiac diagnoses. Days 2 and 3 (Saturday & Sunday) are held in Central London at St Mary’s Hospital campus, Imperial College. Over the weekend, candidates will cover ALL of the stations in the MRCPCH clinical examination. This includes detailed video station teaching and even a mock clinical video exam. There will be a formal mock circuit on the Sunday, which provides trainees with a valuable opportunity to practice under exam conditions and scored according to the RCPCH examination criteria.
The majority of the teaching is done in groups of just four candidates, each facilitated by an experienced Paediatric or cardiology tutor. This allows for the opportunity to learn from other candidates but also to receive valuable personalised feedback. Small group teaching allows candidates with more opportunities to practice their examination skills. Previous candidates have commended the course in particular for its “great selection of patients”. The course places great focus on providing maximal opportunity for candidates to examine patients, providing candidates to meet a wide range of patients and the opportunity practice to develop their presentation skills.
The dates for the next course in January 2017 are:
Saturday 21st January (Day 1- Cardiology)
Saturday 28th January & Sunday 29th January (Days 2 & 3)
