Post MRCPCH London Paediatric trainees are encouraged to apply for the 2016/17 intake of the National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellowship Scheme, hosted by the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management.
This prestigious full-time scheme involves a year secondment to a national healthcare organisation, such as NHS England, CQC, NICE, BUPA and a number of Royal Colleges. During this time you will work on innovative national projects and receive coaching and training to develop your leadership capabilities.
Previous London paediatric alumni of the scheme include Dr Sveta Alladi-Sekkide, who set up the national e-FGM training package, and Dr Felicity Taylor, who was awarded 2015 Emerging Leader by the London NHS Leadership Academy. Dr Miriam Fine Goulden, ST8 Paediatric Intensive Care, is currently working at NHS England as the National Medical Director’s Clinical Fellow.
