Safeguarding issues are sometimes very difficult to recognise and to tackle: Discussions with families can be delicate to handle and it is important to know what is required of you by law.
If a child dies after an attempt to resuscitate, the management of this unexpected death is very difficult both emotionally and from a legal point of view, for all involved.
Training will be delivered by faculty with extensive experience. Four scenarios will be organised during which delegates will be able to practice their skills at resuscitation, address the difficult communication issues with parents while conforming to the law. Group discussions will follow that will allow time for a better understanding of all issues involved including CPR.
A Level 3 certificate in safeguarding will be issued.
