Through this course you will:
- Develop communication skills required to deal with sensitive issues around child sexual abuse
- Understand the complexity of relationships in cases of child sexual abuse
- Be able to assess your own response to child sexual abuse
The aim of this course is to both facilitate small group discussion to enable effective communication in the detection of child sexual abuse and to undertake a simulated scenario with professional role players.
Topics include peer on peer abuse, gang violence, self-harm, harmful sexual behaviour, gender dysphoria, slavery, trafficking, female genital mutilation and the role of culture and religion in sexual abuse.
