Please could the below information be posted to gain the widest circulation amongst paeds trainees as possible. This should be of interest to anyone with an academic interest, who is thinking of completing a PhD or clinical lecturer position. Many thanks.
“We would like to invite any junior doctors interested in research to this year’s Chain-Florey clinical workshop on Friday 17th November 2016 at Imperial College (Hammersmith Campus). The Chain-Florey Clinical Research Fellowship scheme, conceived in 2009, is designed for medical graduates pursuing a career as an academic clinician. Emphasis is placed on the development of well-rounded researchers equally strong in both clinical research and basic science. Fellows are expected to carry out their research in one of the CSC’s world-leading basic science groups. The poster for this year’s workshop is attached, and here is a link to last year’s workshop (http://csc.mrc.ac.uk/chain-florey-workshop-2015-mice-men-haploid-cells)”
