The London Deanery was the organisation that was previously responsible for postgraduate medical and dental education and training in London. From April 2013, Local Education and Training Boards (LETB)s became accountable for education, training and workforce planning., taking over from NHS London A ‘Shared Services’ was created that had responsibility for the functions that were previously the responsibility of the Deanery’s Medical Workforce Department. Shared Services ceased to exist as an independent entity from the end of December 2013, and its functions sat with the Operations Department which was part of the South London LETB, who also worked on behalf of the other two LETBs in London. In January 2017 Health Education England Team, London and South East was formed and the Paediatrics Team are now: Richard Geddes, Administrator, Adepero Akinlade, Officer and Liz Stanbury, Senior Officer.
