The role of NCEL RCPCH trainee representation will be advised in the upcoming months. Keep a look out on the RCPCH website in the Call for nominations for College posts section. New will be in post by the next RCPCH TC meeting on 18th October 10:30-16:00 at the RCPCH offices.
TC rep is responsible for ensuring the views of trainees on training, assessment and service issues are heard at College level. The post holder will represent the views of all other trainees in their region to the Trainees Committee. You must be prepared to contact all other trainees in your region to find out their views. You will also be required to relay relevant information back to your trainees after the meeting. The Trainees Committee meets 3 times a year.
There also other projects to get involved in. Examples of recent RCPCH initiatives: PFATAs (training awards), level one training review.
I have been in post for one year and also got involved with organizing the trainees section of RCPCH conference. I have found it a great platform to have a trainee voice at RCPCH and to learn and share good practice with other trainees nationally. I am resigning as moving to Wales for GRID training.
Please contact me if you would like further information on the role.
