Many of you will have attended our excellent Paediatric Return to Acute Clinical Practice (PRACP) course. It is an outstanding course which has been developed over the last several years by several consultants and trainees. It is now run 3 times a year and is intended for any trainee returning to training after a period away – on maternity leave, out of programme for any reason, etc.
PRACP has evolved and developed over the years and now offers a wide variety of learning opportunities – high fidelity simulation, update talks, mentoring sessions etc. The feedback has been excellent and has allowed the course to be responsive to trainees’ needs and so change over time.
The exciting news is that the GMC has recognised PRACP for its good practice and we have been given the opportunity to highlight and describe the course in some detail on their website as part of their “sharing good practice” section.
