Please return completed form no later than Wednesday 28th February 2018. Late submissions will be processed separately and may cause a delay in your placement. Matching forms that are submitted after the above deadline will be reviewed at the end of the panel meetings, once the majority of trainee placements have been allocated.
PLEASE NOTE THAT UP UNTIL 5TH JANUARY 2018 completed matching form should be either scanned and emailed to email@example.com. HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE THAT AFTER 5TH JANUARY forms will need to be submitted via https://lasepgmdesupport.hee.nhs.uk/support/home. Do note that this site will not be active until 6th January.
The ST4/5 matching panels will meet in March to allocate you to a 2 year ST4/5 Training Programme which will fulfil Level 2 RCPCH training requirements.
The majority of the posts will be based in one District General Hospital Trust and its local Community Paediatric Service. There are a small number of placements, which consist of 2 one-year placements in different localities, which will deliver the equivalent training.
The matching process is paper based. The panel of TPDs will allocate training posts and programmes based on the information you have submitted. The panel will aim to balance geographical and training requests against the training resources that are available.
Matching panels consist of rotational TPDs and are designed to give the fairest possible outcomes for all trainees. The panels will take into account career plans, geography and family circumstances – the more information you give, the more likely you are to get placements that meet your needs and expectations . Please note that matching allocations can only be changed in exceptional circumstances.
Rotational TPD for North East London is Dr Sandhia Naik and for North West London is Dr Helen Channer.
You will be informed of your placements by first week in June 2018. Please bear in mind that the process of matching trainees to posts takes quite a long time and therefore we ask that you bear with us while we get back to you with regards to your placements.
Please note that there will be a Matching evening which will be taking place on the 23rd of January 2018 at Holiday Inn, Coram St, Bloomsbury, London WC1N 1HT at 6pm
Please do your best to attend this evening as it will give you a chance to find out more about your prospective posts
