The Lead Providers will be handing back training management to HEE from September 2017. Healthcare Education Teams (HET) will provide operational management of London & KSS (LaSE -London and South East) trainees but will have a much-reduced operational staff.

Passionate discussions were had about how to support the School in the delivery of the excellent training programmes and opportunities for trainees in these times of austerity. What is clear is that the School provides amazing training initiatives many of which are being adopted nationally. ST4/5 placements are nearly finalised. You should be hearing in the next couple of weeks. ST1-3s have all been placed for 3years- if you are unsure of your placement, please get in contact (Dr Naik for NCEL Programme manager). Of note, another 4 level 1 posts have been completely decommissioned this year and 9 level 2 posts have been repatriated to East of England. A further 8 level 2 posts will be repatriated next year to east of England. All these posts are in units who have trainees from both London and East of England Schools.
