The London School of Paediatrics Simulation Training programme courses are commencing in January.
The training days are mandatory – Full Immersion days (ST1 and ST3 trainees) and Part-task/Communicaiton days (ST3 trainees) and so please book if you have not done so yet.
Before you attend your training days, you will be sent out information by your training centre.
This information includes the following documents which are attached:
Introduction to Simulation Training
Assessing a patient in an emergency – some useful tips and drug information
London School of Paediatrics Part-task training guide – this has useful information on undertaking practical procedures in Paediatrics and Neonatology
It will also be useful to update yourself on APLS/NSL guidance before attending the days so you can maximise the benefit from these days.
Remember these days are for you, and are not assessment! The evaluation is very important to us as use this to make changes to the programme and there are some new scenarios this year, so please complete the evaluation following your training days.
Please enjoy the days and if you have any comments, then please contact Mehrengise Cooper, Lead for Simulation: firstname.lastname@example.org
