2016 is looking brighter! We have successfully won funding to have a Fellow in Medical Education for the School of Paediatrics in London! We are thrilled and very excited by this opportunity. The funding is for a 12 month full time post starting in September 2016. It will be ideal for a full time trainee or 2 part-time ones. The main project that will be undertaken by the person/people appointed to this post is a workforce transformation project aimed at looking at new and innovative ways of solving the workforce problems currently facing all our Neonatal Units across London. This project does not require a specific clinical interest in Neonatology – but does need someone/2 people who are interested in multiprofessional working and considering new ideas around service transformation.
The Job Description and the Person Specification will be posted on the website within the next 2 weeks, as well as information about application/recruitment. Please think about whether you might be interested in applying for this exciting opportunity – it is not just suitable for medical trainees, but also nurses (Band 6 or above) and would be ideal for a jobshare partnership between 2 trainees or a trainee and nurse. The postholder/s will work closely with Hilary Cass in her Deputy Head of School, and HEE National CYP Workforce Advisory, roles.
Remember to apply for OOPE time – applications for OOPE to start in September need to be submitted by the end of February 2016.
