I’m really excited to be leading the LME evening on May 23rd! We are going to be discussing how to get the most out of your training, and to help me I have invited 6 fantastic paediatricians who have all CCT’d from the London programme within the last 24 months. They are each going to talk about their training and what they’ve done since finishing and each will answer the question “What is the most important or useful thing I now know, that I wish I’d known when I was a trainee?”
The evening is going to be deliberately relaxed with plenty of opportunity to ask questions – both as a whole group, but also one:one at the end. The consultant group I have invited include men and women, generalists and subspecialists, full time clinicians and also a clinical academic – so there’s something/someone for everyone! Paediatric training is incredibly exciting but sometimes the huge number of options and opportunities can be bewildering. So come along and test out some of your own career ideas by listening to the panel and then asking questions. I think it’s going to be a really inspiring evening!
